L.A. Rising

 The Getty Foundation celebrated the publication of The California/International Arts Foundation's new encyclopedia L.A. Rising: SoCal Artists Before 1980 on December 7, with a lovely party. The event was to honor the artists in the book with a special tribute to Lyn Keinholz who worked for several years putting this project together.

Included in the book are many JAI artists.  At the event were Pat Berger, Bruria Finkel, Jean Edelstein, Sam Erenberg,  Max Finkelstein, Simone Gad, Gilah Hirsch, Ruth Snyder, Harriet Zeitlin. Ruth Weisberg and Annette Bird included, but not at the event.

The book, L.A. Rising: SoCal Artists Before 1980 will be on sale, January 2011.
